How to customize Wordpress Theme?

Customize a WordPress theme allows you to change the appearance and functionality of your website to suit your specific needs. A WordPress theme is the visual foundation and structure of your website. They control the process,create the content, and create the overall beauty. Themes come in many formats provide different features, layouts and customization options. Whether you’re a blogger, small business owner, or an aspiring entrepreneur, understanding how to personalize your WordPress theme. Here’s a beginner-friendly guide to help you get started:
1. Access the Theme Customization Options:
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
- Navigate to “Appearance” and select “Themes.”
- Activate the theme you want to customize and click on “Customize.”
2. Customize Site Identity:
- Navigate to Site Identity in “Customize”
- Select “Site Title & Logo Settings”, upload logo and change the Site Title.
- For changing the Favicon icon, Go to “Site Identity” and click on “Select site icon”, upload favicon icon.
3. Adjust Colors and Typography:
- Navigate to “Global” in “Customize” option.
- For changing Typography click on “Typography” and select the font that you like.
- Changing the color of theme click the “Colors” under Global you can see different option to change color, click “Publish” once satisfied with changes to make your changes live.
4. Customizing the menu:
- Click on “Menus” under Appearance.
- If your wanted to remove the pages from menu click a small arrow (⬇) next to page name and click remove.
- For adding new page in menu select the pages that you want to add in pages on left hand side and click “Add to menu”.
- Once you have made change click “Save Menu”
5. Adding Social Media Icon:
- Navigate to “Footer Builder” under “Customize option”
- Click on Social Icon and add the social media url to it.
6. Theme-Specific Options:
Explore theme-specific customization options provided by your chosen theme. Theme may include options for testimonials, gallery, or other professional activities.
7. Preview and Save Changes:
- As you make changes, use the “Preview” button to see how changes look on website.
- Once satisfied with your customizations, click “Save & Publish” to make them live on your website.
